Repo is not for the faint of heart. It also has nothing whatsoever to do with a Jude Law movie called Repo Men- that movie was a rip-off.
Anyway. Repo goes into my love of dystopic futures. This one has organ change craziness! Apparently, people's organs weren't working the right way, so to survive, people starting getting organ transplants. However, they couldn't always pay the reaper. So, Repo Men were sent out to claim the organs from those who couldn't pay. It also starts to become fashionable to change organs and even faces. People also become addicted to Zydrate, a medicine that helps folks go under and get ready for surgery (surgery).
As the title suggests, this story has music. But wait- it's great music! A little rocky and symphonic metal at times. Some opera (hey, Sarah Brightman is in it and she has to get her diva on). Plus, Anthony Stewart Head of Buffy fame has a great voice too.
Overall, this is a great movie that I love to watch on occasion and has a great soundtrack. It's great for late night movie watching. I'd totally pair it with Rocky Horror. It is rated R, so beware of watching with the younger crowd- especially under about 14 or 15. There is some nudity and Paris Hilton's face falls off at one point. Thankfully, that saves us from hearing her sing more.
And Terrance Zdunich- the show's writer- is damn sexy with a killer voice to boot. Just thinking of "Zydrate Anatomy" sends shivers down my spine.
Well, that's all for now. I'll be in my bunk.
